Hello Followers!!! We are at the end of April so you know what that means!....Summer is Almost Here!!! With Summer also comes some of the biggest Hollywood blockbusters set to be released and ready to take audiences on wild rides and unforgettable adventures. A lot of great films are coming our way in the coming months, so let's get a quick breakdown of them in this year's Summer Movie Season Preview.
The opening month of the summer movie season is filled with explosive confrontations and all out super charged showdowns. Marvel Studios kicks things off with their earth shattering opening to Phase 3 that will have Iron Man, Captain America, and the avengers facing off in the much anticipated MCU installment Captain America Civil War. Then, the popular mobile video game comes to life behind an all star cast in Angry Birds. On Memorial day weekend, the X-men try to survive the wrath of the world's first mutant in X-Men Apocalypse and after years away from her friends, Alice returns to Wonderland to save the hatter from the hands of time himself in Disney's Alice Through The Looking Glass.
In June, the action heats up with the return of several beloved characters. The heroes in a half shell return to protect new York in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. On June 10, one of the most popular video games makes it long awaited big screen debut in Warcraft. Afterwards, the magical team that pulled off the biggest heist in history are back for an even bigger challenge in Now You See Me 2. Then on June 17, the lovable blue tank makes her long awaited return in the anticipated new film Finding Dory. The month then concludes with round 2 of the battle for mankind's survival in Independence Day: Resurgence.
The 3rd month always brings fireworks and this year is no different. Warner Bros brings the ape man back to the big screen in The Legend of Tarzan. Disney and legendary director Steven Spielberg bring one of the most beloved books to life in The BFG. On July 22nd, the crew of the USS Enterprise are back for their most daring mission yet in Star Trek Beyond. Afterwards, a new team answers the call to combat paranormal threats in Ghostbusters and Matt Damon returns as the legendary agent in the explosive next chapter in the Bourne series.
The final month of the summer movie season closes things out with a bang. The latest installment in the DC Extended Universe brings a group of criminals together to combat a massive threat in Suicide Squad. On August 12th, a park ranger tries to unlock the mystery of a young boy and his mysterious (and colossal) companion in Pete's Dragon. On August 19th, the ultimate story of faith and redemption is re imagined in Ben-Hur.
