HAPPY NEW YEAR FOLLOWERS!!!! I hope you are having a wonderful first day of 2017. The past is behind us and now the time has come to look to the future. The line up of films set for 2017 is mind blowing. I seriously cannot wait for this year's slate of films. Before we get to my top ten upcoming flicks, let's take a look at the storylines heading into the new year of films.
Top Storylines of 2017
Overtime, people change and become something greater or worse than who they were before. But what happens when the people you know are good go to a dark place you never thought they'd go? A number of films including new Transformers and Fast and The Furious installments will feature the once proud protagonist playing the bad boy. Questions will hopefully be awnsered as we struggle with why these heroes decided to turn their backs to the causes they fight for.

Last year featured a royal beatdown as Marvel Studios dominated their competition, DC films, both critically and financially. This year, the competition is more fierce on both sides. Marvel prepares to give fans the lovable space outlaws, a new Spiderman, and Thor while DC looks to bounce back with a promising Wonder Woman film and a risky and ambitious Justice League film. Can DC take that next step or will Marvel continue to rule the genre?
Spider-Man is one of the most beloved comic book chracters in history. Despite that, his on screen journey has been a seesaw experience. After a promising original trilogy that lost steam after the third installment and a reboot that failed to capture the essence of what made the hero great, the movie and comic book community wondered if spidey could ever find relavance in the new age. Thankfully, last year's Captain America Civil War introduced a Spider-Man with potential to be the one fans want and deserve. With his standalone film set to come out in this summer, Can this be the Spider-Man movie that fans have been asking for?
This year, the best of the best in the cosmic realm and a galaxy far far away return in two of the most anticipated films of the year. Gaurdians of the Galaxy Vol 2 sees the return of Starlord and company while Star Wars Episode 8 sees Rey, Finn and Poe engaging in their next bout with the Kylo Ren and the First Order. These space heroes have the skills (and hype surrounding them) to rock our socks in the new year.
