Month 2 Recap (June 2015)
Hey Followers, Month two of the summer movie season has concluded and I have to say it was pretty emotional. Chuck full of nostalgia and welcome returns, June was one of the most memorable months in the Summer Movie Season so far. Let's go over the films that were released this month and how they did....
Jurassic World
You’d think after 14 years, people would be over the idea of
seeing genetically modified dinosaurs on the big screen again. Well after a
historic theatrical run by Jurassic World, I say people are not only still for
the idea, but bananas about it. The latest instalment in the Jurassic Park
franchise had an unprecedented run at the theaters behind solid acclaim from
fans and critics as well as becoming not only the third movie this year to
reach over a billion dollars but also the highest grossing movie of all time.
Life has found a way and fans better hold on to their butts as more sequel prepare
to stomp our way soon
Inside Out
I guess a one year absence can do you some good. After a
slew of below average releases Pixar Animation Studios took a year off from
theaters and returned with a vengeance to deliver possibly one of the best
films in their library ever. Hilarious, smart, and nothing short of emotional,
Inside Out has fans sing joyful noises over one of the best animated films of
the year.
Ted 2
In the second running of the foul mouthed teddy bear. It seems people are starting to “outgrow” the appeal of Seth MacFarlane’s furry and raunchy character. Despite its best attempts to be as funny and memorable as the first, the film unfortunately failed to garner the same appeal. I guess what was considered amusing the first time isn’t as great the second time around.
