Happy hump day followers. April and May were an absolute whirlwind of thrills, emotions, and all out fun. With the first official month of the summer movie season now concluded, let's recap all of the excitement that kicked off this year's SMS.

Avengers Infinity War

The culmination of the 10 years existence of the Marvel Cinematic Universe broke box office records and broke the hearts of its devoted fanbase. Brimming with spectacular action, brutally relentless tribulations, and the most gut-wrenching ending to a major blockbuster ever witnessed on screen, Avengers Infinity War shook the world to its core and set up an incredible conclusion to the current era of the MCU.

Deadpool 2

The Merc with a mouth arrived once again to bring the pain and the filth in his latest R-rated endeavor. With bombastic action, laughs galore, yet still exhibiting heart throughout, Deadpool 2 brought maximum effort in being a fun follow up to the first entry.

Solo: A Star Wars Story

Despite being littered with behind the scenes drama, post last jedi backlash, and a less than stellar box office return, the second entry in the Star Wars anthology series did succeed in being a straightforward, simplistic, and overall fun adventure in the Star Wars galaxy. With the future of the franchise seeming to be in question, Solo A Star Wars Story manages to miraculously stick the landing despite the severe bumps and bruises.
