2011 Summer Movie Season Preview




 An epic expedition led by a notorious pirate, the fate of a wizarding world is about to be decided, a western outlaw battles extraterrestrial unknowns, new and old faces reunite for the ultimate high speed hiest, a young boy and his friends discover a mysterious creature not of this earth, and the final showdown between waring robotic worlds finally arrives. This is what you can expect from this years Summer Movie Season. With headline film franchises set to release their latest installments, this makes this years summer movie line up the most anticipated since 2009. Big name studios such as Warner Bros., Disney, Universal, and Paramount are all projected to make big box office cash over the course of the next five months of the summer. Universal Pictures will draw first blood with the release of Fast Five, the fifth installment of the Fast and the Furious franchise, this coming friday as well as Steven Speilberg's Cowboys and Aliens in late July. Paramount will set the stage for it's upcoming avengers film by realeasing the films of the remaning two members: Thor and Captian America. In addition to those films, Paramount will also be realeasing the highly anticipated Transformers: Dark of the Moon and one the most kept underwraps films of the summer, J.J Abram's Super 8. Disney has some magic of their own by realeasing the next chapter in the Pirates of the Caribbean saga, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and Pixar's Cars 2. And Warner Bros plans to make a huge box office splash with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, The intense final chapter of the long running film franchise. Over the course of the summer i will be giving you analysis on the summers hotest flicks as well as reviews and rating from myself and other film websites. I hope you are just as hyped about this year's summer movies as i am.
