2017 Summer Movie Season - Month By Month Recaps

Summer Movie Season 2017 (Month 2 Recap)

Hello Followers. June has ended and now we are only a few days away from the July movies hitting theaters. The June movies brought lots of thrills and excitement all the way through. Let's get a look at how these films did in our monthly summer movie season recap.

Wonder Woman

For a movie to come in with so much hype, skepticism, and pressure, the stand alone film featuring the warrior Princess of Themyscira became not only the best film in the DCEU but arguably the biggest film of the summer. Historical in a slew of ways, Wonder Woman has become one of the must see films of 2017.

The Mummy

When you start off a Cinematic Universe, there will be bumps in the road that will make the trip very taxing and difficult. The opening installment of Universal's Dark Universe may have hit a big bump which might cause to the ship to sink before it even gets out of port. Loud action and subtle horror elements are not enough to make the Mummy a great opening installment or a great movie overall

Captain Underpants The First Epic Movie

A fun, colorful and zany adaptation of the hilarious children's books, Captain Underpants was clever, funny, and full of good hearted hilarity for the whole family.

Cars 3

The Cars franchise looked to bring the heart and soul back into the most marketable franchise in Pixar's lineup. Behind a more focused narritive, awesome new characters, and a fun essence throughout, Cars 3 is the quintessential sequel that the fans have always wanted and deserve.

Transformers The Last Knight

10 years of loud, chaotic, and bombastic action with little heart or action might finally be negatively effecting the Transformers series. After incredibly negative reviews and a series low box office haul, the writing may finally be on the wall for this once powerhouse Sci fi action franchise.

Despicable Me 3

The next chapter of the adventures of Gru and his family brings the same action, humor, and fun that has defied the series. Oh, and of course you got the minions causing a ruckus as usual!!!
