Back To Work!!! Families, Friends, and Enemies Look To Reignite Box Office In SMS Opening Month

Happy Wednesday followers. It's been a long time but the start of the 2021 Summer Movie Season is just a few days away. While we are still very much in the midst of the pandemic, a number of movies are looking to create a strong return to form for the industry. Several high-profile releases arriving both in theaters and on streaming are ready to heat up the box office in month one of the first full-on summer movie season since 2019. Let's break down the movies we got coming our way in just the next few weeks. 





A Quiet Place Part II (Paramount Pictures, May 28th)



Silent Might

Despite surviving an incursion on their home, Evelyn and her three kids Regan, Marcus and her newborn son now find themselves out in a world where the dangers are more frequent and the creatures may need more than just sonic feedback to be taken down. Sequel to the 2018 horror film, the Abbott family finds themselves in a world ravaged by the carnivorous invaders with little to no help in sight. With so much to lose, the family must rely on each other to survive in unfamiliar territory. The next chapter brings forth a world on fire when A Quiet Place Part II arrives this friday.

The devil has a new look when Cruella arrives in theaters and Disney + on May 28th.

Washington Heights is brimming with life, culture, and identity. Enhanced by its rich Puerto Rican population, the people in this Brooklyn-based town always can rely on each other for guidance and love. But what happens when that culture and identity clash with one's ambition and dreams? Based on the acclaimed Broadway musical by Lin Manuel-Miranda, Anthony Ramos, Corey Hawkins, Jimmy Smits, and Leslie Grace headline an all-star cast in the musical event of the summer. Pixar's next animated feature looks to bring the beauty of 1950s Italy in a rousing adventure worth splashing for. Family Affairs
