Welcome Back Followers to Part 2 of
Star Wars A Forceful Awakening. In today’s post, it’s all about the legends
that made Star Wars such an unforgettable series. Once relative unknowns, the
trio of Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill have become living
legends in Hollywood and pop culture. That makes their earth shattering return
as Luke, Han, and Leia in Star Wars :The
Force Awakens that much more
exciting and emotional. Before we see these talented actors return to the roles
that defined their careers, let’s get reacquainted with the original “Guardians
of the Galaxy”.
Early Years in Star Wars
Beautiful, young, and brimming with charm and talent. Carrie
Fisher walked into the role as the brave and resourceful Princess Leia Organa.
Her role as the character really established her as one of the most beloved
characters in the series and one of the strongest female characters in film.

Since Than
Despite early struggles after her initial bout as Princess
Leia, Fisher has bounced back and still maintains that witty and spirited fire
that has made her fans fall in love with her. Only difference is she doesn’t
need (or want to) use a slave bikini to give her an added popularity boost.

32 years later,
Carrie Fisher returns to the role not as royalty but as a wise and hardened
military leader. Now dubbed General, Leia is now in charge of leading the newly
formed Resistance in the fight against the first order. She may be older, but
I’m pretty positive that fire still burns hard for a free galaxy.

What more can be said for one of the most beloved characters
in the series. Since he was introduced in A New Hope, Harrison Ford has become
not only one most loved actors of our time, but the childhood icon for multiple
generations. From his charm, charisma, and misunderstood personality, Han Solo
is absolutely one of the greatest characters to ever be on screen. Oh, and HE
SHOT FIRST!!!!! (Just thought I’d throw that in there).

After he left behind the role, Harrison Ford went on to do
more roles including roles in several other pop culture juggernauts including Blade Runner, Indiana Jones, and Air Force
One. His stints in other films such as 42 and Age of Adaline
showcase Ford’s versatility and brilliance as an actor. Old man’s still got it.

What can only be described as “the moment that broke the
internet”, Harrison Ford makes his emotional return as Han Solo in The Force
Awakens. Older and wiser, Solo embraces the existence of the force, the dark
side, and the Jedi. Despite being up there is age, I’m sure he’s still the same
scruffy looking nerf herder we obsess about.

A relative unknown and bright eyed young actor in his early twenties,
Mark Hamill stepped into the role as the hero of the Star Wars movie with much
relative skepticism and promise. His innocence and humble nature propelled him
to play the reluctant young hero who would eventually redeem one of the most
iconic villains in cinema. From the jump, the force was with Mark Hamill

Just because he hasn’t been in movies didn’t mean Mark
Hamill wasn’t working. Hamill transitioned to establish himself in TV from play
the Trickster in The Flash, being the
iconic voice of the Joker in Batman: The
Animated Series, and Fire Lord Ozai in Avatar:
The Last Airbender. Mark Hamill’s personality and vocal talent has turned
him into one of the most popular and sought after voice actors on the small
screen.

If you’re like me and every other star wars fan, you are
asking the same question: WHERE THE HECK IS LUKE SKYWALKER?!!!! Despite Mark
Hamill’s obvious involvement in the film, the fact that him and his character
are mysteriously MIA in the trailers and promos has fans guessing and creating
lots of crazy fan theories. Add on to the fact that director JJ Abrams has been
tight lipped about the absence of the son of Darth Vader adds to the
speculation about the character’s current situation. Guess we’ll just have to
wait for the movie to find out.
