2018 Summer Movie Season - Month By Month Recaps

Summer Movie Season 2018 (Month 2 Recap)

Hello followers. It was an eventful month of June, to say the least. But the is still a lot of fun to be had as we now reach the halfway point of the SMS. Let wrap up month 2 by going over all the big stories in our June recap.

Oceans 8

Director Gary Ross assembled an impressive ensemble to deliver a solid heist caper. Brimming with humor, wit, and some fierceness from this incredible collection of ladies, Oceans 8 was a solid summer heist movie and a solid addition to the Oceans franchise.

Incredibles 2

14 years is a long time to wait for anything. But in the case of Incredibles 2, the wait was more than worth it. Brad Bird gives the fans the long-awaited sequel they've been begging for and it culminates into a fun and raucous action adventure with the beloved family of supers. To put it bluntly, Incredibles 2 was simply...Incredible.

Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom

To say logic has left the Jurassic Park franchise is an understatement. That doesn't mean however that Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom is any less of a blast. It's hard to argue the appeal of seeing dinosaurs making lunch out of humans, but seeing this installment have a sheer sense of terror and a dark tone as well as wall-to-wall action and tension is something that can be commended. Somehow, the franchise still finds a way to be a cinematic draw for everyone.
